Holy cow! It's been a long time since our last post. We've been soooo busy. I'm going to post some pictures of us doing fun things. Some of my sisters visited us from Utah. While they were here, we went to the OR Coast Aquarium. We also went to our favorite place to eat, Love Love Teriyaki. Then, we found out that my Grandpa passed away. That occurred this past Tuesday. My sisters left to go back to Utah, but came back shortly so they could attend our Grandpa's funeral. My oldest brother and his family also came from Utah, so they could attend the funeral.
The funeral was really neat. My grandpa was Catholic, so the main services were held at a local church. The cemetery where he was buried is in Portland, so we went there for the interment. My grandpa received full military honors. He was a paratrooper during World War II. He was one of very few men who were the first to drop into enemy territory and survive. I began crying when they played "Taps" on the bugle. They did a 21-gun salute. My aunt received the US flag and three of the bullet casings from the gun salute. She later gave a bullet casing to my uncle and another to my dad.
I am very glad I have the knowledge I have to know that this life on the Earth isn't the end. I am glad that my family and I have been given blessings and promises so we can be together forever.
